No wonder the price of Burger King rose significantly (24%) on Wednesday. It turned out that Burger King was bought by 3G Capital, a New York Based Outfit, for $4 billion.

The investment company bought the share at $24 each making it a premium price over the original price at $16.45 (last closing price).

Burger King has suffered a major blow during this recession and not doing so well with its competitor McDonald’s.

John Chidsey will stay as chairman during the transition and there will also new position, co-chairman, which Chidsey will hold.
